ZADAR

The largest city and harbor of North Dalmatia is the city of Zadar, more than 3000 years old, one of the most popular tourist destinations of Dalmatia. It offers numerous gastronomic delicacies, cultural and historical sights to taste and visit. Do not miss the sunset in Zadar, even the famous Hollywood film director Alfred Hitchcock has seen Zadar sunset and call it the most beautiful sunset in the world. 

The Zadar archipelago is characterized by a distinctly indented coast, numerous islands and untouched nature. It counts over a hundred islands and its coastline is similar to the Greeks. Most of Zadar's archipelago islands are uninhabited and provide many secluded places and untouched bays. The Zadar archipelago is made up of Kornati with its national park with over 80 islands. The biggest islands of the Zadar archipelago are the Dugi otok, Ugljan, Pasman. By chartering catamaran in Zadar you see the only places where you can experience the magnificent combination of untouched nature and the clear sea. 

Zadar area counts three Park of nature - Telascica, Vransko jezero and Velebit and four National parks - Paklenica, Plitvice, Kornati and Northern Velebit. This classifies Zadar and it´s surroundings at the very top of the tourist offer.

Nautical ports other than Zadar are Sukosan and Biograd as well as smaller ports on Dugi otok and Pasman.

Zadar airport is located just a few minutes from the city center and today, Zadar is connected with all major European cities.
